My Dubai trip : How I made do with limited Outfits.

Hi,

   It’s really been ages out here. I have been caught up with work and some post law classes I have been taking recently. Hope I was missed out here “winks.

     So my birthday was in February , day 18th to be precise. I had no plans in mind. I was thinking of sleeping in as a matter of fact until a special someone decided it would be nice to spoil me with an all expense paid trip to Dubai. I wasn’t told this as a matter of fact. I have never been anywhere except for some west African countries. Well, Dubai was a big deal for me. I had no idea what the surprise mail contained until 16th. And it was quite late at the time, almost past my bedtime.

     The next morning, my flight was in four hours and a girl had to pack under pressure. Trust me to toss in just about anything into my box. I was completely disheveled but hey! I am going to Dubai for my birthday and that’s all that counts , yes.....yes!

     There was no coordinating outfit. I dropped just about anything in that box. My confidence, I can wear just what I have picked, fine, or not.

   Day1:

     The  plane landed in Dubai and I was driven to my hotel. I practically stayed in for an extra day before exploring Dubai.

    Day 2:

   I was lodged at a Beach side hotel, it was fantastic. Do well to check with Rameer Hotels, Jumeirah when you are in Dubai. The hospitality was everything to me . It was like I was home away from home. But the Dubai weather was pretty hot and killing. My first buy: a palm woven hat. That hat was like my saving grace and I can tell you I am quite attached to it now:. It was quite the life saver, don’t blame me. I also met a Nigerian driver based in dubai and he took me round the Dubai city walk. and guess who missed her tour bus because she got the time completely wrong.

       Day 3:

   Nikki Beach in Dubai was a great view too. I made sure to visit everyday. I did make friends with Lucy, a phillipino woman  and Ahmed , an Egyptian at Ali Baba restaurant, just beside the hotel. I ate mostly from the restaurant there anyway. So Day 3 was like my day. I wore the outfit below; first from touring through  Jumeirah before journeying off to the popular Dubai mall. it was a fun  experience. shopping has never been that fun.... i was far from bothered that i had to do that alone.

   Day 4;

    Another shopping spree. more perfumes, less clothes. This lace top , old forever21 came through. Guess who wore a denim skirt to the mall and got told severally 'i love your skirt'. you glow differently when your work  gets commended. Got the denim and patterned fabric from  Tejuosho market, yaba, lagos State.

Day 5;

       Mini shopping before turning into a full time tourist in this monochrome top-gown from payporte, lekki , lagos. i couldnt get a full picture of the monochrome dress but i do have a sample of the outfit on my instagram page; thehajaarakaba .
    Day 6 and Day 7;

           final tour day, practically toured the city myself and did some last minutes shoppings before coming back to my hotel to pack my bags. i really cannot remember some of the places now but I am sure I will remember the places again. I took pictures alright but they are not post-worthy......sorry.

        I also shopped at the airport when I was about to leave and guess who regretted not doing all her shoppings at the airport....that is a big topic for another day.

        you can share your own experience in the comment box......may not be another Dubai trip but any experience whatsoever. love you guyssssssss
